A WEEK OF VICTORY FOR ME AND I HOPE FOR YOU AS WELL

I don't have much time to visit today. I will try to get back later in the week.

I did want to take the time to thank each of you that have prayed for me this week. I have had a week of victory in my battle. I found most of this week to be more easy and I am not forgetting that I am sure it was as a result of answered prayer .

I have jury duty this week. It may be over tomorrow but I want know until then. So I am finding myself in a fact pace situation. This is not my favorite place to be but I am going to try to slow down enough to appreciate all the things that God has made around me. First of all the people that I meet and remember the fact that I need to be a witness in all that I do and say. I want to notice the beauty that He has made for us to enjoy in the things of nature and places and people that I meet. I am mostly a stay at home person so I want to take advantage of this time that I am having to be out of my normal place in life and appreciate all the wonderful things around me.

I hope each of you are having good weeks, days, and even moments in your lives. I have been praying for you as well. See you later and may God bless and keep you in HIs Way. connie

I will pray that in doing jury duty you will help bring about justice and the will of the Lord. Have a great day!

Rebekah, I had jury duty for the last two days, but when it came to the last cut, they did not accept me because I have two sons in law enforcement. This case I believe was an aggravated assault on a policeman. It was probably best that I wasn't accepted because the Mother in me, when it came right down to it might have seen one of my sons in the pictures and it might have effected my judgement. So I am relieved that I was not placed in that position. Thank you for your comments. I hope you days are filled with joy and peace.connie

Hi Connie! I'm glad you had a successful week!

I have never sat on a jury before. It's something I'd like to do once Carrie is grown. (By the way, you and I both got our first and only daughters in our early forties, after having four sons) I thought that was an amusing coincidence. I've enjoyed reading about your family so much!

As far as the weight-loss, I haven't gone crazy, but I haven't been tracking my eating so I haven't lost anything since Thanksgiving. Now I'm back on track and committed once again to strict adherance to my plan! I don't want to be dieting FOREVER, so I better get moving.

I hope you're having a great Christmas season.

p.s. Thanks for coming by and leaving a comment a few weeks ago.

Karen, thank you. My children were grown before I sat on one, not that I wasn't called but I did not want to leave my children with others. I have made up for it since then though. I guess they like me, they call me quiet often. I sat on a Federal Grand Jury for a year and a half five years ago. I sure learned more than I ever wanted to know there.

Now that is really something about our daughters and our sons. I am glad that you have enjoyed reading about my family. I am very blessed with a wonderful God given family and I Owe Him so much for just this but for other things much more.

I am glad you are back on track with your dieting. You know what I am finding that is working really well with me, I eat what ever I am suppose to eat and when I feel in my stomach that I am getting full, I stop. I sure hope it keep working for it is working so well. I don't have to worry about counting calories and the like. I am praying for you. connie

Jury duty....YUCK!! I've had that a couple of times. No fun!! The first time was okay...the second time was in Atlanta at the federal building...I didn't get picked...they didn't like me I guess. Well...the prosecution did but the defense didn't. I'm glad...it was a murder trial.

I know how difficult it is to stick to an eating plan during that too.

I have been praying for you...even when I was away from home. I'm glad to hear He helped you and gave you a good week!!

Sis. Julie, The one the other day was a criminal trial. I went through the first couple of cuts but at the end they wanted to know if we knew any people in law enforcement or the DA's office etc. I raised my hand and said yes, I have two sons in law enforcement. One a police Sar. and the other an investagator for the Sherriff's Dept. They started scratching right away. I am truly thankful that I did not get picked because I do not think that I could have been impartical. When they started showing the pictures where the policeman was attacked I think I would have seen the face of my two sons or a vast number of other realatives that I have in law enforcement. I probably even though I would have tried my hardest could not have been fair and impartical. So I thank God that I was not chosen.

Thank you, I felt the prayers and they carried me though. Thanks be to God. connie

Marsheila, That kind of jury duty sounds like lots of fun to me also. I have been called more times that any of my other family members. I have never sat on a criminal jury this last one was the closest that I ever came. I think the Lord is protecting me. I don't know how good I would be on one. Come back and talk anytime, I always enjoy your visits. connie
